2025 Yuan Ze University Aquatic Sports Competition Regulations

Purpose

To promote the swimming culture at our university, improve swimming skills, embody the spirit of sports, advocate for healthy leisure activities, and implement water safety education and knowledge, this event is specially organized.

Eligibility

All students who have completed registration for the first semester of the 114th academic year may participate in the competition as a department unit, with each unit limited to one team.

Registration Method

- Registration Period: From now until 13:00, November 7, 2025 (Friday).
- Registration Form: Download the official registration form from the Physical Education Office website. Complete and email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
* All registration data is based on the email receipt time; no changes to the athlete list after registration.
- The competition schedule will be announced on November 11, 2025.
- Participants should assess their physical condition according to medical advice. Those with heart disease, epilepsy, skin diseases, or other conditions unsuitable for swimming should not register.

Competition Events

Individual Events (same for men/women):

- 50m Kickboard
- 50m Freestyle
- 50m Breaststroke
- 50m Backstroke
- 50m Butterfly

Team Event:

- 4x25m Freestyle Relay (2 men, 2 women)
  - Each swims 25m in relay format; total time determines the winner.
  - All start underwater.
  - The next swimmer starts after the previous touches the wall.
  - The final swimmer’s touch marks the total time.

Competition Method

- All events are timed finals; results are announced immediately after the race.
- Each unit may register up to 4 people per individual event; only one relay team per unit.
- Each athlete may participate in up to 3 events (excluding the team event).
- If fewer than 3 people (teams) register for an event, the event will be canceled.
- Athletes who do not check in are considered to have forfeited.
- All events start from the water.

Awards

- Top 3 in each group/event will be awarded:
- Individual Events: Certificate and SOGO gift voucher (1st: NT$1,500; 2nd: NT$1,000; 3rd: NT$500)
- Team Event: Certificate and SOGO gift voucher (per team; 1st: NT$1,500; 2nd: NT$1,000; 3rd: NT$500)
- Outstanding performers may be selected for the university swimming team.

Competition Rules

The latest swimming rules published by the Chinese Taipei Swimming Association will be adopted.

Appeals

- Referee’s decision is final and cannot be protested.
- Disputes must be formally submitted before the event; committee’s decision is final.
- Impersonation leads to disqualification and 3-point deduction.
- Disruption of event by participants or parents may lead to disqualification.
- Force majeure may stop the event only by committee decision.
- Organizer may amend regulations at any time.

The organizer may amend and announce additional rules to cover matters not addressed in these rules.
