Yuan Ze University
Rules and Regulations for the President’s Cup Bowling Tournament (Academic Year 114)
Purpose
This tournament is organized to promote wholesome leisure activities, encourage participation in bowling, enhance physical and mental well-being, strengthen interdepartmental sports exchanges, and foster a positive campus sports culture.

Competition begins at 19:00
Check-in time: 18:20–18:50
Venue
Zhongli Asian Games Bowling Center.
Eligibility
- Registration is conducted by department.
(Departments and institutes may register jointly. For the team event, each team may include no more than two bowling varsity team members.) - Team Event (including individual scoring):
Each team consists of two male and two female players.- If there are insufficient male players, female players may substitute; a team may consist entirely of female players.
Each female player receives an additional 15 points per game. - If there are insufficient female players, male players may substitute without bonus or penalty points.
- If there are insufficient male players, female players may substitute; a team may consist entirely of female players.
- Individual Event:
Divided into the Open Division and the General Division.
(The General Division is limited to non–bowling varsity team members.)

Fees
- Each department or institute is entitled to one Team A (four players) exempt from lane fees.
- For teams exceeding four players, each additional participant must pay a lane fee of NT$195.
Competition Rules
- The competition adopts a three-game total score system.
- Scores from the team event are simultaneously counted toward the individual event.
- When a female player substitutes for a male player, 45 points are added per person.
When a male player substitutes for a female player, no points are added or deducted. - Participants must wear appropriate bowling attire:
- Male participants: long pants
- Female participants: long pants or knee-length shorts
- Tie-breaking (Individual Event):
In the event of a tie in total score, the participant with the higher score in the final game ranks higher.
If still tied, comparison proceeds to the second-to-last game, and so on. - Tie-breaking (Team Event):
In the event of a tie in total team score, the team with the higher score in the final game ranks higher.
If still tied, comparison proceeds to the second-to-last game, and so on.
Awards
- Team Event: Awards will be given to the top six teams.
- Individual Event (Open Division & General Division):
The top six male and top six female participants in each division will be awarded.- 1st to 3rd place: Certificate and trophy
- 4th to 6th place: Certificate of merit
- Outstanding male and female participants will be selected as reserve members of the university bowling varsity team.

- Any matters not covered in these regulations may be revised and announced by the organizing unit.
- After registration closes, lane assignments will be announced on the Office of Physical Education website and the Yuan Ze University Bowling Team Facebook fan page.
